Submit a Proposal
Thank you for your interest in submitting a proposal for the LOEX 2025 Conference.
How does library instruction intersect with creativity, design, and futurism? Explore these ideas and more at LOEX 2025 in Pasadena CA. The center of the American Arts and Crafts movement and birthplace of visionary writer Octavia Butler, Pasadena provides an ideal location to hone our craft and consider the future of information literacy. We invite you to join fellow practitioners in sharing your designs, collaborations, innovations, and inspirations.
LOEX is committed to raising the voices of those who are underrepresented in our profession and to creating the most inclusive community that we possibly can. LOEX seeks participants and presenters from all types of institutions, positions, backgrounds, and experiences.
Breakout Sessions
Traditional-length (50 minutes) presentations and interactive workshops by one to three presenters. As in previous years, these sessions will make up the large majority of the conference program (an estimated 50-65 sessions). Breakout Session proposals are due December 2, 2024.
Lightning Talks
Short (seven minutes maximum) presentations given during a single session by different presenters. There will only be a handful (maximum of five) of these presentations as they are intended to be an energizing, but small, part of the conference. Lightning Talk proposals due date is Monday, January 20, 2025.
Poster Sessions
Students currently enrolled in a graduate program in library and information sciences along with librarians in resident, intern, or fellowship programs are invited to propose poster sessions. Poster Session proposals due date is in Monday, January 27, 2025.
