Submit a Proposal

Thank you for your interest in submitting a proposal for the LOEX 2027 Conference. Just like your local coffee shop's menu, we are regularly trying to develop new signature blends of information literacy instruction, along with offering our tried & true, to serve our wide-ranging student and faculty communities. A Signature Blend: Brewing Better Information Literacy explores how we successfully use practice, pedagogy, assessment, and research to create a robust instructional mix and how we are always looking to improve. We invite you to step into our online "third space" to share what is currently brewing at your institution and discover fresh ideas to invigorate your teaching. Pour yourself a cup of your favorite coffee or tea, and join fellow teaching librarians online at the LOEX 2027 conference as we collaborate to refine our signature blends together. LOEX is committed to creating the most inclusive community that we possibly can, and seeks participants and presenters from all types of institutions, positions, backgrounds, and experiences.

Breakout Sessions

Breakout Session submission information Traditional-length (50 minutes) presentations by one to three presenters. As in previous years, these sessions will make up the large majority of the conference program (an estimated 50-65 sessions). Breakout Session proposals due date is November 30, 2026.

Lightning Talks

Lightning Talk submission information (will be posted later in the fall) Short (seven minutes maximum) presentations by one presenter; four or five lightning talks are grouped together so they can be given during a single time slot. There likely will only be a few handfuls of these talks as they are intended to be an energizing, but relatively small, part of the conference. Lightning Talk proposals due date is Monday, January 18, 2027.

Poster Sessions

Poster Session submission information (will be posted later in the fall) Students currently enrolled in a graduate program in library and information sciences along with librarians in resident, intern, or fellowship programs are invited to propose poster sessions. Poster Session proposals due date is in Monday, January 25, 2027.
