Thanks to everyone who submitted a proposal!
Thank you for your interest in submitting a proposal for the LOEX 2015 Conference.
To create the perfect pint, Colorado brewers will consult master brewers, collaborate with others, and prepare small batches to taste test a recipe. They will tweak recipes until they reach a perfect blend of flavors. Colorado brewers are beer innovators, using exotic flavors and implementing new brewing methods. Just as the world-renowned Colorado brewers work to perfect their craft, librarians work to perfect their pedagogy. Our craft requires tweaks to the recipe, collaboration with colleagues, and lessons from experts that inspire us to bring innovative technologies and pedagogical techniques into the classroom.
We invite you to Denver for LOEX 2015 to showcase your innovations in library instruction.
There are multiple types of sessions. Click the following links for more information about each session type and how to submit proposals.
Breakout Sessions: Traditional presentations and interactive workshops. As in previous years, these sessions will make up the large majority of the conference program (an estimated 50-60 sessions). Breakout Session proposals are due Friday, November 21, 2014.
Lightning Talks: Short (seven minutes maximum) presentations given during a single session by different presenters. There will only be handful (approximately five) of these presentations as they are intended to be an energizing, but small, part of the conference. Lightning Talk proposals are due Friday, January 16, 2015.
Poster Sessions: Students currently enrolled in a graduate program in library and information sciences along with librarians in resident or intern programs are invited to propose poster sessions. Poster Session proposals are due Friday, January 30, 2015.
