Underrepresented Groups Scholarship

 The LOEX 2024 Committee and the LOEX Director congratulate the recipients of the 2024 scholarships:

The LOEX 2024 Conference Committee, with the support of the LOEX Director, has reserved at least one PAID registration for a librarian or library school student who is a member of an underrepresented group and/or who has done significant work to bring library services or information literacy opportunities to underrepresented groups. Each scholarship recipient will also receive a travel/lodging stipend of $250. Any additional conference-related expenses are the responsibility of the recipient.


Interested librarians and graduate students currently enrolled in ALA-accredited MLIS programs are strongly encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to applicants who have been members of the profession for fewer than five years, and whose information literacy & instruction interests include outreach to underrepresented populations.

  • A 500-word essay describing your interest in information literacy services
