LOEX 2022 will be held in Ypsilanti, MI, at the Ann Arbor Marriott Ypsilanti at Eagle Crest. LOEX has a room block reserved at $149/night.

March 17, 2022 Hotel Update: there will not be an overflow hotel, unfortunately, as there is no block availability at other Ypsilanti or Ann Arbor-area hotels. After getting slow played by a couple hotel managers for a couple weeks, we figured out this lack of availability is due to the fact the University of Michigan is having a second commencement this year---a 2020 "Comeback" Commencement at Michigan Stadium on May 7, 2022 (with featured speaker, Dr. Anthony Fauci) as those students did not have a "Big House" ceremony in 2020. So hotel rooms on Friday, May 6 and (in particular) Saturday, May 7, that are close to Ann Arbor, are at a huge premium.

We recommend for those who are not able to get a room in the LOEX block at the Ypsilanti Marriott and you need a hotel room that you:
- Post a request for a roommate on the Attendee Wiki
- Check the Marriott reservation form at another time, as people do occasionally cancel and thus a room randomly becomes available  
- Reserve a room as soon as possible in either 1) Canton MI (20 min drive away; there is a Hampton Inn, Fairfield Inn, etc, typically with free parking) or 2) near Detroit Metro airport (also a 20 min drive away; numerous hotels of various types). There is no LOEX block or rate at these hotels; these are just given as options that are located a relatively easy drive from the conference hotel at a price (currently at least) under $175.

Attendees flying in for the conference should arrive at the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County (DTW) airport, about 15 miles east of Ypsilanti. Rideshare options, such as Uber of Lyft, are available; unfortunately, there is not a shuttle bus that runs from DTW to the hotel. If you are driving, there is free parking available.
