Proceedings Guidelines

Due dates for submitting your paper to be included in the Proceedings:

- April 12, 2010 if your session is a Breakout Session
- May 28, 2010 if your session is an Interactive Session

LOEX publishes Conference Proceedings each year. Talks given at LOEX 2010 will be physically published in Library Orientation Series No. 43 and after a year, available to LOEX members electronically via LOEX's website. Handouts can be included in the proceedings, in the body or as appendices, but PowerPoint slides will not.

  • Submit a copy of your session summary in Microsoft Word via e-mail attachment to loex@emich.edu.
  • Use 12 pt, Times New Roman Font
  • Include a cover page in your Word document. This cover page should have the article's title, along with each author's name, job position, institution and mailing address to ensure a free copy of the conference proceedings can be mailed to you. The spelling and order of the names on this cover page will be used in the table of contents and official citations. Also, since the paper will eventually be available online, provide keywords (up to 10) of your choosing.
  • No abstract is required or expected.
  • Due to space restrictions from the publisher, your summary article should be no more than 2500 words; this limit does not include bibliography and/or endnotes, or any appendices, tables, or graphics. Please limit these elements to no more than approximately 3 total pages worth; if you feel it is necessary to exceed this latter limit, please contact loex@emich.edu.
  • Bibliography and/or Endnotes ONLY if applicable. NO footnotes please.
  • APA style for in-text citations, bibliography and/or endnotes.
