Submit a Proposal

Thank you for your interest in submitting a proposal for the LOEX 2021 Conference.

In years past, LOEX has typically been able to bring librarians and information professionals together for a conference in cities around the country to celebrate, collaborate, and revitalize their instruction. Facing the unique social and technological challenges of the present time, we’re approaching our instruction, our libraries, and our world differently. And that asks for an approach to LOEX 2021 that encompases this transformation. While the original intent was to host LOEX 2021 in the California Bay Area, we have moved to an entirely online format. Please join us for an online conference that approaches these challenges directly, and seeks to bring together librarians in the formats available to us amid these unprecedented, transformative times.

Breakout Sessions

Hour-long presentations, delivered online, by one to three presenters. As in previous years, these sessions will make up the large majority of the conference program (an estimated 45-60 sessions). Breakout Session proposals are now being accepted and are due Friday, December 4, 2020. [deadline has passed]

Poster Sessions

Students currently enrolled in a graduate program in library and information sciences along with librarians in resident or intern programs are invited to propose poster sessions. Poster Session proposal due date is in Monday, February 1, 2021.  [deadline has passed]
